Gaziantep, Turkey. 19 November 2020. Youngsters wearing protective face masks walk in the streets of the southern Turkish city of Gaziantep prior to the coming into effect of stay-home orders for younger people. While on Tuesday Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had announced restrictions aimed at curbing the rising coronavirus cases in the worst affected areas in the country, including Istanbul and Ankara, from Friday evening 20th November the measures will come into effect in the whole country. This means that people under 20 and over 65 will only be allowed to leave their home during specific hours on weekdays. The new restrictions include partial weekend curfews for citizens between 10 am and 8pm, the closure of schools for the rest of the year with the resumption of online teaching, and restaurants and cafes only being allowed to offer takeaway and delivery services
